Kristina obtained her master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2013 and her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida in 2004. She is Board Certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Prior to joining our practice, Kristina worked at BayCare Health System for eight years in the Emergency Medicine/Critical Care Units.
Kristina treats both adolescents and adults and has a special interest in treating Mood Disorders, Depression, ADHD, and anxiety disorders including OCD, Panic Disorder, and PTSD. In addition, she has a passion for women’s mental health issues, particularly the treatment of Postpartum Depression.
Kristina’s combined work experience in an emergency hospital setting and inpatient/outpatient mental health facilities provides her with the skill set to not only identify and treat mental health issues, but also treat physical aspects in the human body to provide a more holistic and comprehensive treatment plan.
Kristina implements the most current evidence-based practice into her care. She is very passionate about Pharmacogenetics and utilizes it in conjunction with medication management when appropriate to provide optimal patient care. Kristina is a member of the Florida Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, National Honors Society for Nurses.
She has been in private practice since 2013.
