Bio

Shelly Johnson is a dual certified nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care and psychiatric mental health, offering integrative mental health treatments (a holistic approach that uses conventional and complimentary therapies to treat psychiatric disorders) to children, adolescents, and adults. She obtained her pediatric nurse practitioner degree from Azusa Pacific University in 2014 and obtained her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification from Florida State University in 2021.

Shelly has experience working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, eating disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, OCD and PTSD, as well as behavioral issues. Prior to joining GCBH, she was working at a pediatric residential psychiatric facility; she also has experience as a nursing instructor in both pediatric and psychiatric medicine. Her work is personalized utilizing evidenced-based practice and includes education, medication, therapy, and complimentary modalities. She believes personalized treatment leads to improvement in symptoms, restored mental health, and positive wellbeing.
