Bio

Joseph Adan, MD

 Dr. Adan obtained his Medical degree from the Eastern Central University in the Dominican Republic in 1986.  He continued his psychiatric training at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Richmond in Staten Island, New York and completed an internship in 1991 and a residency in 1993. He completed a child and adolescent fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 1996.


Dr.  Adan previously served as the Medical Director for Charter Behavioral Health in Largo, FL and 

founded his private practice in 1996. 


Dr. Adan is bilingual and specializes in a wide spectrum of child, adolescent and adult psychiatric disorders.  

He takes great pride in treating the developmentally disabled — a population he feels is underserved in our society.
