National Institute of Mental Health
This comprehensive site features the latest research funded by the federal government.  You will find statistics on many conditions, mental health topics and clinical trials.

American Psychiatric Association
This professional site features information regarding various mental health conditions.  You can search by condition or other demographic data such as age, gender, or ethnicity.

Anxiety
Anxiety Disorders Association of America
Information on the most common mental health condition in America. Look under the Resources tab for self-tests on a variety of conditions such as Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, and Panic Disorder.

Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder
ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association)
A joint project of CHADD and the Centers for Disease Control, this organization is the portal for scientifically based research on AD/HD.

National Resource Center on AD/HD
A joint project of CHADD and the Centers for Disease Control, this organization is the portal for scientifically based research on AD/HD.

Autism
Autism Society of America
The Autism Society of America is part of an international support network that serves individuals on the autism spectrum, their family members, and the professionals who serve them.

Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is an advocacy group that promotes expanded services to autistic children and their families, as well as advancing research in the field of autism.

Center for Autism and Related Disorders
The CARD Center at the University of South Florida provides training and consultation on autism for families, educators and professionals throughout West Central Florida.

Autism Research Institute
Founded over 40 years ago, this site offers research that explores the possible link between environmental triggers and the alarming increase in the prevalence of autism. There are many FAQs, as well as editorials and links to providers who follow the “Defeat Autism Now” method of treatment.

National Autism Association
As a member of the Autism Collaboration, this site provides information on nutritional approaches to the treatment of autism. Also included is information about their autism safety initiative called Found.

Trauma
EMDR International Association
Practitioners who employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing techniques may be certified by this organization. EMDR is used for the treatment of trauma in children and adults, especially those with post-traumatic stress disorder.

National Child Traumatic Stress Network
With a focus on the effects of traumatic stress on children, this organization strives to improve access and standards of care for children who have been exposed to violence, terrorism and natural disasters.

Local Resources
Should circumstances in your life change where you are no longer able to pay for services in our office, several organizations within the community offer help at reduced rates or no charge at all.  Many of these organizations have multiple offices in the Tampa Bay area, so please contact them directly to find the nearest location.
