Patricia Requena, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and in Sociology at The American University in Washington D.C. and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She is a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with extensive experience in assessment, psychotherapy and trauma therapy with children, adolescents and adults. Patricia’s experience is in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on trauma work.
Patricia joined Gulf Coast Behavioral Health in 2010 and has been working in the field since 1991. Some of the specialized treatments Patricia provides include: Conflict Resolution, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Complex Trauma and PTSD, Behavior Management, Stress Management and Reduction, Parenting Skills, Communication Skills and EMDR. She also offers individual counseling for sexual assault and trauma.
